Vocabulary

I needed a good place for us to record our vocabulary words.
I put together these sheets.  Now the kids just keep them in the front of each folder.
It is easy to find for recording more vocabulary and studying old vocabulary.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to share the things I am making.  I'm trying out scribd.  The first vocabulary sheets are uploaded from my google drive.  The second one is uploaded on scribd.  What do you think?  Which one is easier?  Does anyone know of a better option?  I have to admit, I don't really know what I'm doing...

  1. Thank you for sharing these!

I like using Google Docs, as Scribd sometimes won't allow downloads without membership (not sure how that's controlled). But in your links here, I can't find a way to download from the Google Doc. I like the way Google previews here too.

I love reading your posts for Family School, it gives me more ideas for our days. Thank you!

  2. Cool. That reminds me of a game Cathy, Connie and I used to play that we called "dictionary". Each week, each of us would find a word in the dictionary that we thought no one else would know. Then, the next week (I think it was each Saturday), we would each tell our new word and the other two would try to guess what the definition was. Whoever knew the word "won" (no prizes or even keeping score -- we just played it to play). The one word I especially remember where I "won" because no one else could guess the definition was "zygapophysis" (defined as "the articular process of the neural arch of the vertebra"). Cathy was mad because she said technical words shouldn't count. Maybe she was right. In any case, I still remember that word after more than 50 years.
Hope your kids enjoy expanding their vocabularies as much as I did mine.
    Love you all!
